Aokin A4988 Driver Module Stepper Motor Driver with Heatsink for Reprap Pololu 3D Printer Red Green Blue 3D Printer ModuleThe A4988 stepper motor driver is a DMOS microstepping driver with converter and overcurrent protection that operates bipolar stepper motors in full, half, quarter, 1/8 and 1/16 step modes for output drive performance Up to 35 V and plusmn2, the A4988 includes a fixed off-time current regulator that operates in slow or mixed-fade mode. The converter is the key to the ease of implementation of the A4988. Simply input a pulse into the ldquosteprdquo input to drive the motor to generate a microstep. No phase sequence table, high frequency control line or complex interface programming is required. The A4988 interface is ideal for applications where complex microprocessors are not available or overloaded.
The A4988 features as the following:
1. It is suitable for driving stepper motors of 8V~35V 2A or less
2, only simple step and direction control interface
3, five different stepping modes: full, half, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16
